Racing: Mock Races & Race Tactics out on the water. Monitored
When and where do we practice?
Practice schedule is weather dependent so please check with a team member before assuming there is a practice.
Once the team is established and we have a confident, experienced group of sailors we will try to practice whenever we have good wind and weather. If you have a car please let us know.
Our rules for practices are as follows:
Combined air and water temp musts be above 100 degrees or you MUST wear a dry suit!
(I.E. water temp 45 and air temp 60 would produce a combined air and water temp of 105)
Do not go out alone! Always sail with a partner because if things go wrong you need someone else there. Sailing by yourself is lame anyway.
Let an member of the executive board know before you head to the sail to sail on a non-practice day for safety reasons.
The rule in general with the sailing team is DBS. Always be aware, and don't be stupid.
